This is the remains of my swirl chamber, as found in cylinder number 4 :-(
And here's the mess it made of the top of the cylinder. Lots of dents and spattered metal.
Moving all the bits from the old engine to the new.
Old engine out - completely empty engine bay.
Rear water pipe nexus. These plastic ones tend to break, but the nice metal one I had from a 1.7 engine was slightly too short because they changed the shape of the pipe along the back of the engine for no good reason.
Hmm - my old engine didn;t have this spigot - what's it for? Turns out to be water - got a suitbale pipe from the donor 806.
