Address alternatives configuration

"Type" is the class of alternative, and must be a single word -- "College" might be an example. "Options" contains the exhaustive list of instances of that class -- "Gonville & Caius" would be one appropriate option for the "College" type.

Clearing an alternative's type, or all of its options, will result in it being removed
